The valiant Ecto-1, and Ghostbuster Chuck Carte
Late in February the spiffily uniformed and impressively equipped Carolina GB team reported for duty at Greensboro’s Stellarcon 37 aboard an equally formidable ride, the official Ghostbusters transport, the Ecto-1. This vintage 1958 Cadillac Miller-Meteor Ambulance is very nearly identical to the original Ecto-1, a 1959 Cadillac Miller-Meteor limo-style ambulance used in the 1984 film
Ecto-blasters Chuck Carte, Artie Beaty, M. Doc Geressy, and Cheralyn Lambeth are keeping the Carolinas safe from spooks, specters, ghosts, spirits, ghouls, and the occasional demon
Ghostbusters.
The Carolina Ecto-1 has been lovingly restored and equipped with a wide array of anti-ectoplasm weapons and gadgetry including radar, sensor mics, infrared, a satellite microwave up-link, a vast array of warning lights, and an unmistakable siren
It’s a very talented team. As you’ll note from their web site, when they’re not too busy busting ghostly bad guys, they hold down day jobs in multiple scholarly and 
fannish fields and professions, including writing, film making, costume and prop design, teaching, theatre, radio production, banking, journalism, and of course, the paranormal.
